Why do you have so little faith?
This morning, I spent some long-overdue time with the Lord. To be honest, I had to wipe a little dust off my trusty old Bible.
Life gets busy—juggling multiple jobs, grad school, planning a wedding, maintaining somewhat of a social life—the list goes on. It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos. But lately, I’ve felt that familiar tug, the Spirit’s gentle whisper: Come back to Me. Isn’t it beautiful how the Lord carries His people? Even when we wander far, He calls us home.
So today, I opened the Word. I spent some time in Philippians, reflected on the goodness of God, and was eventually led to Luke 12:27-28:
"Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?" (CSB)
This verse has been an anchor in my life for as long as I can remember. It’s so easy to feel small in this world. And truthfully, we are. But the beauty of the Gospel is that God sees us. And He cares.
Some days, we have to speak it until we believe it. But this remains true:
He sees.
He knows.
He loves.
He provides.
He protects.
He comforts.
He will certainly care for you.
Why do you have so little faith?
